Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 24, 2026
Recover In Home ("we", "us") provides virtual addiction and mental health treatment across Canada. This policy explains what we collect through this website, why, and the choices you have. It covers this website only — the separate consents and privacy terms you receive during intake govern clinical care.
1. Who is responsible for your information
Recover In Home, 149 Willowdale Ave., North York, Ontario, M2N 4Y5, is responsible for personal information collected through this site. Questions, access requests, and complaints can be sent to info@recoverinhome.com or 1 (866) 602‑9068, attention: Privacy Officer.
2. What we collect
Information you give us. When you submit the contact form we collect your name, phone number, email address, who the enquiry is for, your message, your preferred contact time, and your consent to be contacted. If you use the live chat or call us, we collect what you choose to share in that conversation.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, we collect technical and usage data such as IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, referring page, and time on site. This is collected through cookies and similar technologies.
Please do not send detailed health information through this website. The contact form is for arranging a conversation, not for clinical intake.
3. Why we use it
- To respond to your enquiry and arrange a first call
- To provide information about our programs, including pricing and financing options
- To operate, secure, and improve this website
- To measure how our advertising and pages perform
- To meet legal and regulatory obligations
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for third-party advertising.
4. Consent
We collect, use, and disclose personal information with your consent, except where the law permits or requires otherwise. When you tick the consent box on our contact form you are agreeing to be contacted by phone, email, or text about your enquiry, as required under Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL). You can withdraw consent at any time by replying to any message, emailing info@recoverinhome.com, or calling us. Withdrawing consent does not affect care already provided.
5. Communications you may receive from us
If you contact us or become a client, we may send you:
- Service messages — replies to your enquiry, appointment confirmations and reminders, scheduling changes, billing and account notices, and information you have asked for. These are necessary to provide care and are not marketing.
- Program and educational messages — recovery resources, group and after-care information, program updates, and occasional news about our services, where you have consented to receive them.
These may be sent by phone, email, or text message, using the contact details you give us. Standard message and data rates from your carrier may apply to text messages.
Unsubscribing. Every commercial electronic message we send identifies us, includes our contact information, and includes a way to unsubscribe. You can opt out at any time by using the unsubscribe link, replying STOP to a text message, emailing info@recoverinhome.com, or calling 1 (866) 602‑9068. We action opt-out requests promptly and, in any event, within the period required by CASL.
Opting out of program and educational messages does not stop service messages about care you are actively receiving. If you want us to stop contacting you entirely, tell us and we will close out your file, subject to any records we are required to keep.
6. Service providers
We use third-party services to run this site. Each receives only what it needs, and each has its own privacy practices:
- Web3Forms — delivers contact form submissions to our inbox
- Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics — website analytics and measurement
- CallRail — call tracking, which may record the phone number you call from and how you reached us
- JivoChat — live chat on the website
- Vercel — website hosting and delivery
- Medicard / iFinance — if you choose to apply for financing, you leave this site and their terms and privacy policy apply to that application
Some of these providers may store or process data outside Canada, including in the United States. Where that happens, the information may be accessible to courts and authorities in that country under its laws.
7. Cookies
Cookies are small files stored by your browser. We use them to keep the site working, remember preferences, and understand how the site is used. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; parts of the site may not work as well if you do. You can opt out of Google Analytics using Google's browser opt-out add-on.
8. How long we keep it
We keep enquiry information only as long as needed for the purpose it was collected, and to meet legal and record-keeping obligations. Enquiries that do not become clients are deleted or de-identified once they are no longer needed. Clinical records are governed separately by the health privacy legislation that applies in your province and by the retention rules of our clinicians' regulatory colleges.
9. Security
This site is served over HTTPS, and we apply administrative and technical safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. If you are sharing something sensitive, please call us instead.
10. Your rights
Subject to limited legal exceptions, you may ask us to confirm what personal information we hold about you, provide access to it, correct it if it is inaccurate, or delete it. You may also withdraw your consent to be contacted. Write to info@recoverinhome.com and we will respond within the timelines set out in applicable privacy law.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada, or the privacy regulator in your province.
11. Children
This website is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through this site. Where we treat youth, enrolment and consent are handled directly with a parent or guardian.
12. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The revised version takes effect when it is posted here, and the "last updated" date above will change.
